This has reference to my letter published in Citizen’s Herald on April 15. The unauthorized road was under construction in the No Developmental Zone (NDZ) without keeping a proper drain for the provision of rainwater. The road was also touching the compound wall of a private residential house causing hindrance. This is illegal, unauthorized and violates human rights.
When the first complaint was filed on October 17, 2023, the road construction had just begun. Today it’s almost 6 months and the road is almost completed despite stop work order notices issued by the Panchayat and Town Planner.
However, we are thankful to Citizen’s Herald as the investigations have just begun after the letter was published. There should be severe action initiated against those violating CRZ laws and disrespecting governmental orders. Hope that justice will prevail.
