The former alliance partners of the Bharatiya Janata Party have come down heavily on the functioning of the GSIDC alleging it is created for corruption.

Former PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar had already earlier spoken on the same issue that PWD can implement projects much better than what GSIDC currently does,” MGP president Dipak Dhavalikar told Herald.

The GSIDC is a huge scam and a CBI inquiry should be initiated against the projects. GSIDC is fooling people of Goa and all the projects initiated by them are of inferior quality,” he added.

Further, pointing to the cracks in the Gaundalim bridge, Dhavalikar said, “Just the example of Gaundalim bridge, first the bridge developed a crack and now the arch is titled putting life of people in danger.” 

MGP’s Lavoo Mamledar also called GSIDC a complete scam.

GSIDC is a complete scam. The PWD can go ahead with all the projects which GSIDC is undertaking, at much cheaper costs,” he said. 

He stated that GSIDC was formed to take up huge projects and not small things like garbage collection, etc. 

I can still say that PWD projects are of much better quality,” he added.
