MARGAO: The Ponda police registered an offence against Reena Satarkar alias Sanjana, 43, a resident of Bondbag, Bethora, for breach of trust. Police said that the accused allegedly took gold ornaments belonging to someone else and used it as collateral at a bank to obtain a loan of Rs ten lakh.
Ponda resident Vishaka Naik, 50, has filed a complaint against Satarkar. According to the police, the accused took gold ornaments weighing about 185 grams which the complainant had entrusted with her and used it to obtain a gold loan of Rs. 10,86,303 without the complainant's knowledge.
