BICHOLIM: The Sanquelim BJP Block Committee during a demonstration on Wednesday burnt the effigy of Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte for his statements against Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
The BJP workers gathered near the Shivaji Statue at Sanquelim and chanted slogans against the Porvorim MLA and vent their anger by burning the MLA’s effigy.
“He should stop making false allegations and statements against the Chief Minister. He is trying to mislead the public when people have elected him to carry out works in the constituency. People from Porvorim should see the work that he is doing and next time send him home by electing a BJP candidate,” Sanquelim BJP block president Gopal Surlakar said.
