Provisional certificates to be issued for evacuee property applicants
BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has decided to expedite the process of resolving the Mayem evacuee property issue.
At a special meeting held in his office on Friday, the chief minister directed the Collector R Meneka to issue provisional certificate to the people of Mayem. The Collector stated that she would expedite the process.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary Revenue Nila Mohanan, Mayem MLA Pravin Zantye and Bicholim Mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit.
The Bicholim mamlatdar stated that out of 1141 applications, he has processed/submitted the inspection report of 568 Mayem evacuee property applications to the District Collector North and he would expedite the process of remaining applications.
The mamlatdar requested for additional field surveyors and vehicles to his office to expeditiously conduct survey of the remaining properties.
The chief minister stated that he would provide additional field surveyors and vehicles to conduct inspection/survey of Mayem evacuee property.
Mayem MLA Pravin Zantye stated that he would also provide private vehicles, out of his own expenses, to the Mamlatdar to conduct the survey.
