Quepem police hold flag march to instill confidence among voters

MARGAO: The Quepem police on Wednesday took out a flag march to instill confidence among the people in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.

Being the first flag march before the Assembly elections, over 70 police personnel led by Police Inspector of Quepem Police Station Deepak Pedneker and other officers participated. 

The flag march, which started from Quepem market went through Tilamol village area and later concluded at Ambaulim village. The flag march evoked good response from locals. 

“We covered most of the areas in Quepem and received good response from the public”, a police officer from Quepem said.

“The main objective was to enhance the confidence level of voters, so that they can come out and cast their franchise without any fear. Similar flag marches would be conducted at all police station limits”, he added.
