QUEPEM: With vaccination drive shifting from the Borimol Primary Health Centre to Sports Complex, Borimol, it received good response, especially from the Quepem youth, on Saturday.

They were seen standing in a long queue waiting for their turn to get the jabs.

A local, Vallbha Prabudesai said, “As we know in the past few days there used to be long queues in the premises of primary health centre for COVID tests and for vaccination. And because of this, the situation used to go out of control at the centre for the people and the medical staff.”

“The decision of shifting of COVID vaccination at Borimol Sports Complex is a good decision taken by the authority because there is lot of space in the premises of sports complex and also there is good parking facility,” he added. According to the PHC medical staff, the vaccination drive is held for both the groups viz above 45 years of age and 18-44 years old. There are two queues for the age groups. The vaccination drive starts in the morning at 9 and concludes at 5 in the evening.
