PANJIM: Congress President Rahul Gandhi is expected to address booth level workers in Goa during the first week of March to boost the morale of the workers ahead of the Lok Sabha elections due in April.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar said that Rahul Gandhi is expected to address booth level workers during the first week of March.

The address by Rahul Gandhi will be strictly restricted to booth level committees who he will guide on the upcoming Lok Sabha election, he said.

The Congress will contest on both the Lok Sabha seats in Goa, Chodankar stated adding that the party has begun preparing for the meeting which would have several thousand booth committee workers from all the 40 Assembly Constituencies participating in it.

Gandhi was in Goa last month on a private visit along with his mother Sonia, but had refrained from holding any formal party meeting. He was supposed to address the booth level workers in the last week of January, but same was postponed.

Gandhi had on January 31 visited ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar at State Assembly complex, Porvorim.
