MARGAO: Curtorim Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has alleged that the local authorities have sabotaged the investigation into the death of Finnish national Felix Dahl and has requested Home Minister Amit Shah, North Goa MP Shripad Naik, and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for a hassle-free CBI investigation to provide justice for the deceased’s family.

He elaborated how on the plea to the Bombay High Court by Dahl’s mother Minna Pirhonem who suspected her son was murdered by the Agonda-based suspect, the Court in 2016 in its order transferred the case from Goa Police to CBI.

"CBI, which is a top investigating agency, registered the FIR on August 3, 2016. However Justice still eludes Pirhonem and the friends of Felix Dahl because the local authorities have sabotaged the CBI investigation by denying the polygraph test of the main suspect and his associates. It may also be noted by shielding such types of criminals/ murderers, Goa is getting a bad name by being nicknamed as the State of drugs, rape, and murders,” said Reginaldo.

He further requested the HM, CM, and MP to direct the Canacona Court to allow CBI to do its investigation without any hurdle including the polygraph test for the main suspect and his associates.
