PANJIM: A 23-year-old Nepali, booked for rash driving, was arrested after the person he allegedly knocked down succumbed to injuries at GMC Tuesday morning.

PANJIM: A 23-year-old Nepali, booked for rash driving, was arrested after the person he allegedly knocked down succumbed to injuries at GMC Tuesday morning. He was later release on bail. Vishwas Sitap, hailing from Belgaum-Karnataka was locking his car when the speeding bike almost ran over him on Sunday evening as a result of which he sustained serious head injuries. Panjim police said Sitap was rushed to the GMC but a day after battling for his life, succumbed to injuries. A taxi operator by profession, Sitap had brought some passengers to Goa. Rider Kamal Kami was slapped with Section 304-A (causing death by negligence) of IPC.
