PANJIM: The supplementary examination for unsuccessful candidates of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) as well as the ATKTs is scheduled from August 6. 

The examination to be conducted by the respective schools, will be held either online or offline mode as decided by the education institutions. 

As many as 517 ATKTs as well as 67 students, who could not clear the Class X, and those students who had withdrawn from the public examination, initially scheduled in April 2021, will have to answer the exams that will conclude on August 12. 

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) in a circular issued has directed the schools to ensure that those staff involved in conduct of the examination, are vaccinated with both the doses. 

Goa Board Secretary chairman Bhagirath Shetye said the schools are at liberty to decide on the mode of conduct of exams that is online or offline. The Board has tentatively decided to declare the supplementary exam result by August 16. 

Shetye said the school will have to conduct the examination based on the sample paper issued by the Board. 

A record number of 23,900 Class X students were promoted of the total 23,967 to Class XI based on the internal assessment done by the schools.
