MARGAO: A lot of people from Varca, Benaulim, Cavelossim, Colva and Carmona formally joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of Convenor and leader Rahul Mhambare and other senior party members in a function held at Benaulim, on Tuesday.
The initiative was taken by Venzy Veigas of Benaulim, was the catalyst for the entry of many locals of these areas into the party.
Mhambare welcomed the new members with a positive gesture expressing a hope that more people shall join the party in the days to come.
In his address, AAP leader Mhambare said that many people from Benaulim, Varca, Colva and surrounding areas were impressed by the party’s work during the lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic situation, which have built faith in their hearts.”
“I along with other volunteers of the party welcome the new members with a warm heart and open arms and let us work to make Goa free from corruption and abuse of power by the current government,” he added.
During the ceremony, some locals from Benaulim and other surrounding areas expressed their thoughts saying that looking at the party’s positive work during the coronavirus crisis in the State have decided to join AAP with a positive outlook and enthusiasm to work for a better Goa.
Senior party volunteers also expressed their thoughts.
