PANJIM: The District Magistrate, North Goa on Wednesday issued a prohibitory order in view of the upcoming by-election in Panjim on May 19, 2019 asking all restaurants, bars, eateries, tea shops, pan shops, other food joints and gaddas situated within 100 mts of polling stations in the jurisdiction of Panjim, to remain closed on the polling day from 6 am to 7 pm.

The order also prohibits any gathering or crowd comprising more than 5 persons within 100 meters of any polling station; however the restrictions are exempted to public servants on duty, bonafide marriages, funeral processions and religious processions/functions.
