Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that there will be a separate standard operating procedure (SOP) for Maharashtra, as 90 per cent of the COVID-19 cases in Goa are from that State.
“Goa does not have inside COVID19 positive cases. Some cases are likely to recover in next two days,” Sawant said.
The Chief Minister also visited the airport terminal building to review the security, sanitisation and found that the system at the airport was working well.
He appreciated the efforts of the Goa airport staff and said that with the security checks and sanitisation, there was little chance of COVID-19 spreading in Goa.
He said it is necessary to move ahead and start economic activities. “We need to bring back our stranded Goans from abroad. If the airport is well prepared with this checking, sanitisation etc, than Goans who land in Cochin and other places outside Goa can be directly brought here via air,” the CM added.
