Goa Forward Party’s Siolim MLA Vinod Palyekar condemned the behavior of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar, for trying to feign ignorance over the deaths reported during the EDM. 

“The Chief Minister and Tourism Minister are totally responsible for these deaths as they do not intend to take action on the issue of drugs. 

During the time of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, drugs was under control, however now these drug-related activities are uncontrollable. It’s unfortunate that three people have died,” said Palyekar.

“I have written letters to the Chief Minister seven times on this issue but he has not responded to a single letter. He further accused the Anjuna Police station’s police inspector and police-sub inspectors of allowing such drug activities and alleged that they do so because of their involvement with drug dealers and drug peddlers.
