PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the 13th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival at Inox Multiplex, Panjim on Friday evening. 

On the occasion, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude, renowned actress Raveena Tandon and Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Rohit Monserrate will be guests of honour.

Veteran actor Ashok Saraf, who made a mark for himself in Marathi as well as Hindi cinema, will be presented the prestigious Krutadnyata Puruskar for lifetime achievement.

The inaugural ceremony will be followed by the world premiere screening of Marathi film ‘Sahela Re’, directed by Mrinal Kulkarni.

The three-day festival will showcase over 20 Marathi films including three India premieres of `Sahela Re’ directed by Mrinal Kulkarni, ‘Dhied’ by Omkar Barve and `Pillu Bachelor’.

 The screenings will be held at the Inox Multiplex and Maquinez Palace during the three-day festival. The festival is being held after a gap of two years.

Several prominent actors and directors are expected to be a part of GMFF 2022, according to organisers Vinsan World.
