PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant-led State Cabinet on Monday approved the establishment of the State Staff Selection Commission (SSSC). 

The establishment of the commission, an idea of former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar, was expected to bring in more transparency in filling of vacancies in the government sector.

The cabinet also granted six months extension for claiming Alvara land rights. The cabinet also approved Chief Minister’s visit to Russia with the Central leaders.
