SATTARI: The residents of Honda, Sattari have submitted a memorandum to the officials of a paper mill in the village demanding an end to air and water pollution within a month.
The locals complained to the officials that they are suffering on account of the pollution created by the mill.
They threatened to take to the streets demanding the closure of the mill if it failed to stop the pollution.
They complained that the residents of Gaonkarwada, Postwada, Shantinagar, Chodankar Nagar and Honda are suffering due to air and water pollution created by the mill which commenced operations last year.
They claimed that of the 150 mill employees only a few are locals.
