MAPUSA: Former TMC State president Kiran Kandolkar, along with TMC Porvorim candidate Sandip Vazarkar, Siolim candidate Leo Dias and Mapusa candidate Tarak Arolkar, resigned from the primary membership of the All India Trinamool Congress Party on Wednesday.

Reiterating the charges against Prashant Kishor and I-PAC, Kandolkar said that I-PAC and Kishor fooled the people of Goa, “We got attracted towards political assurances but these assurances were never fulfilled. I-PAC and Prashant Kishor left Goa before paying the labourers, hotels, taxis, and others whom they used during the election and now these people are coming at my doorstep which is why I have resigned from the party,” Kandolkar said.

Later, speaking to Herald, Kandolkar said Rishi Raj Singh the Director of I-PAC who was the campaign head, made many political assurances directly to him and many candidates. “These are of a political nature and many decisions are based on those assurances. They were never fulfilled. A woman leader who left her secure government job was promised a ticket from Marcaim. But the TMC then aligned with MGP, and she was left in the cold and not even helped later.”

He added,  “Kishor only intended to blackmail Sonia Gandhi to show that if Congress does not take him then he can divert the votes of the Congress. He had come to make the BJP win and he used the TMC platform for his benefit.”

Kandolkar also alleged that the party did not show any seriousness in the Goa election that’s the reason why no big leaders of the TMC came to Goa for the election campaign.

He once again brought up the issue of unpaid bills of the vendors, labourers, manifesto printing, hotel room, taxis and others we left unpaid by I-PAC.

“TMC has no future in Goa nor has clarity on its plans for Goa which has forced me to take this decision,” Kandolkar said.
