VASCO: A 20-year-old Taleigao resident died on the spot in a car-truck collision reported along the Verna by-pass on Sunday morning.

Police informed that a car heading from Cortalim to Verna and a trailer proceeding from Margao to Verna collided against each other.

Police said the impact was such that the car driver Russel Fernandes died on the spot, while 4 other car occupants were grievously injured and were shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim. Verna police is further investigating the case.
