One caught in the act of stealing purse from foreigner

CALANGUTE, APRIL 5 Residents of Calangute on Monday caught a person while he was trying to run away with the purse of a foreign tourist at Calangute. According to sources, the incident occurred when the foreign tourist was resting on a sun bed. However, a few locals, who were keeping a track on the movement of the person, saw him lay his hands on the purse and run away.

Residents of Calangute on Monday caught a person while he was trying to run away with the purse of a foreign tourist at Calangute.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the foreign tourist was resting on a sun bed. However, a few locals, who were keeping a track on the movement of the person, saw him lay his hands on the purse and run away.
The accused was chased by the locals and given a sound beating, before handing him over to tourist police at Calangute.
According to sources, the accused was approaching foreign tourists in disguise of a blind beggar. Many foreign tourists drove him away. It was thereafter he took the right opportunity to lay his hands on the purse which was kept on the sun bed by the tourist.
However, his movements were being noticed by the locals, as few days ago, a mobile phone from the sun bed had also gone missing.
