Tree collapse blocks traffic for 5 hours at Marle-Tirval

CANACONA: Marle-Tirval better known all over Goa for the total boycott of the general election on Tuesday had to face another hurdle as a huge forest tree came crashing down on the village road in the early hours of Wednesday.

The fire and emergency crew worked for 5 hours to cut and remove the tree from the road. The emergency crew comprised of fighter Darmendra Naik, driver operator Lekak Daikar and fire fighters Nitin Naik, Darshan Desai, Vivek Naik and Ganesh Naik.

The tree collapsed early in the morning at around 5 o’clock and the same was cleared only at around 10 am. Those who had to use the road got stranded.
