MARGAO: The police asked two activists of the six against whom FIRs were lodged for holding protests on the adjoining railway track at Guirdolim-Chandor in South Goa on the intervening night of November 1 and 2. 

The cases were filed against the Goyant Kollso Naka and the Goencho Ekvott organizations of people formed to raise the voice of the people against this and other linear projects on November 4 by the Maina Curtorim Police.

Activists Abhijit Prabhudesai, Freddy Travasso, Sandesh Telekar, Vikas Bhagat, Creson Antao, John Douglas and others have been booked for blocking the road, rioting and unlawful assembly at Chandor railway gate on Sunday, November 1 night. 

The accused have been booked under Sections 143/ 141/ 341 read with 149 of IPC.

However, though two activists, Abhijit Prabhudesai and Sandesh Talekar have been summoned, all six booked activists are likely to be present at the Maina Curtorim Police Station. Calls are being sent out to all the people who are supporting the movement to come to the Maina Curtorim Police Station in large number to express solidarity with the cause. 

Freddy Travasso, one of the accused in the case said, "If you feel that the named accused in the case have come ahead to save Goa please come to the Maina Curtorim Police Station to support your brothers," he said. 

Abhijit Prabhudesai said, "I love it, I will be more than willing to attend the summons at the Maina Curtorim Police Station tomorrow."
