Two flights diverted due to fog

VASCO: A sudden drop in visibility on Tuesday morning forced Goa airport authorities to divert two passenger aircrafts to other airports.

According to the information by officials of the Airport Authority of India (AAI), Goa Airport, though some early morning flights successfully landed, however at about 7.15 am, there was sudden drop in visibility as thick fog enveloped Dabolim airport. 

As visibility dropped less than 100 meters, an Air Asia flight from Bangalore that was scheduled to land at 7.35 am had to be diverted back to Bangalore. 

Similarly Air Asia flight from Delhi was supposed to land at 7.36 am at Goa airport but was also diverted to Bangalore airport due to poor visibility.
