vasco: Verna police arrested two persons in a chain snatching case near Verna church while they were riding a maestro scooter. A gold chain worth Rs 80,000 was recovered from them. Aslam Kalagar (25), resident of Nofra-II, and native of Ganesh Peth, Netanagar, Hubli Karnataka and Ajay Singh alias Ajay Naik, (21) residing at Deulmol, Shirvoi, Quepem were caught by police. An offence under Section 379, 356 of IPC has been registered against the duo; who were caught by PSI Pravin Simepurushkar, Police constable Nilesh Kaskar, Avind Naik, Sandesh Naik under the supervision of PI Verna Sharif Jaques.
