MARGAO: Two men were found dead on the railway track – one at Balli and another near the Loliem bridge.

The man found at Balli  aged between 35 and 40 years was found dead near the railway track.

The 55-year-old found at Loliem was alive but died at GMC Bambolim where he was shifted from South District Hospital.

According to Konkan Railway Police, an unknown male was found lying near the railway track with multiple injuries and the police said he was most probably hit by a running train.

Konkan Railway Police conducted the panchnama and registered an unnatural death case.  The deceased was wearing a T-shirt and a short pant.

Police said the body has been preserved in South Goa District Hospital morgue at Margao. 

In the accident at Loliem, a 55-year-old male died after being run over by a train, said the Margao Railway Police.

According to the police, an unknown male was shifted to Canacona Health Centre and later transferred to South Goa District Hospital, Margao for treatment. However, due to his severe injuries, the victim was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim where he was declared dead.

Margao Konkan Railway Police have registered an unnatural death case.

Police said the person was wearing a white shirt and a multicolour lungi. The body has been preserved in the GMC morgue.
