PANJIM: There was a dangerous diesel spillage on the sharp turn near the clock tower, near Ambedkar Garden in the vicnity of the KTC Bus Terminus at Panjim, on Friday.  A woman who was riding a two-wheeler and proceeding from Porvorim towards Panjim slipped due to the fuel spillage and fell on the road. Fortunately,  she escaped unhurt.

A Pink Force vehicle, which was passing along, stopped and helped the distressed woman.

The Fire and Emergency Services Panjim rushed to the spot and put dry soil on the fuel spillage.  Additionally, Panjim police helped in directing the traffic. They also alerted the ongoing commuters about the incident and advised them to go slow till the firefighters finish their job.

Panjim motorists have raised serious concerns over a growing issue of fuel spillage on city roads. A few days ago there was oil spillage on the internal roads on an Altinho slope. Motorists have demanded immediate action to address this recurring problem to ensure the safety of all road users in the area.
