PONDA: The Usgao Ganjem gram sabha called on Sunday, drew poor response since only a few locals attended the meeting. There were no proposals submitted by gram sabha members for development works. However some queries which were raised by locals were answered by Sarpanch Ramnath Dangi who chaired the meeting.
As per order of Ponda BDO, the gram sabha meeting was called on Sunday and beside sarpanch other panch members, secretary of panchayat and gram sabha observer from BDO office Ponda were present.
The meeting began at 10 am, however since there was no quorum it was started at 10.30 am. Secretary Prasad Shet read the minutes of last meeting and told few locals present for the meeting that there is no single proposal for discussion related to development works. Sarpanch Ramnath Dangi urged the villagers to submit their proposals related to development works. He said there are efforts from panchayat to solve garbage and other issues of the village.
