MARGAO: Colva Police arrested Varca resident Anascot Fernandes for riding his motorcycle in rash and negligent manner and for causing death of pillion rider Siddhartha Chatterjee in an accident reported near St Anne’s School, Benaulim.
It may recalled that 32-year-old Siddhartha died after Anascot lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into a compound wall near St Anne’s School, Benaulim.
Police said based on the complaint by ASI Socorro Fernandes they registered an offence against the rider under Sections 279 and 304 A of the IPC.
Anascot was later released on bail.
