VASCO: Ularico Rodrigues resigned from the position of the Congress Vasco Block President to be in the race for the ticket to contest from Vasco. Rodrigues says he qualifies to be considered as a candidate from Vasco for the Congress party.
Rodrigues revealed to the reporters that during a party workers meeting, their leader P. Chidambaram had said that the Block presidents will not be considered for the party ticket to contest election.
Considering this, Rodrigues chose to resign and is very much in the race to get Congress ticket from Vasco, he said.
Rodrigues claimed that he is the only member who fits the bill of criteria laid down by the party to contest election.
