Valpoi police team led by PSI Sarvesh Gaddi reached the site and conducted the punchnama while the dead bodies have been sent to GMC for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the motorists have expressed anger towards the state of the road in the Chorla Ghat section. The Ghat consists of dangerous curves and the deep potholes only add to the difficulty of the drivers. The vehicles also often break down on this route due to the pathetic condition of the road, especially the area coming under the jurisdiction of Karnataka.
