VASCO: The Velsao-Pale-Issorcim gram sabha on Sunday approved an increased budget of 20 percent for disaster management and legal fees so that the advocate appointed by the panchayat can get favorable orders against CRZ violations and other illegal construction cases that are pending before different courts including the High Court.
Gram sabha members also had a lengthy discussion on the issue of rebuilding the dilapidated bus stops in the village. The villagers were informed that though it was the duty of the panchayat or the local MLA or PWD to rebuild such dilapidated bus stops, however, as everyone failed ZP Anthon Vas came forward and rebuilt the same using ZP funds.
