PANJIM: Goans for Goa (GFG) on Tuesday has given a 10 day ultimatum to Minister Vijai Sardesai to make an attempt to take immediate steps to restore some sense of hygiene at the wholesale fish market in Margao failing which people of Goa shall be forced to gather at the market.

Addressing the media, GFG President, Kennedy Afonso said, “The wholesale fish market is a breeding ground for all kinds of diseases due to water stagnation at various places, which raises a deadly stink all round the place.”

“The stench from this place can be felt even in the collector’s office, but even the collector seems to have become immune to the stench,” he said.
