Vijai vows to crackdown on illegal retail trade near wholesale fish market

MARGAO: TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has assured to crackdown on illegal retail trade near the wholesale fish market, renovate the market, tar the roads and beautify the place soon. The minister promised to all these simultaneously.

MARGAO: TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has assured to crackdown on illegal retail trade near the wholesale fish market, renovate the market, tar the roads and beautify the place soon. The minister promised to all these simultaneously. 

The minister said that a tender of Rs 2 crore for the improvement of the market and the tender for road and beautification worth Rs 48 lakh have got administrative approval and would soon be advertised. 

Vijai said that there is no enforcement of the civic rules and discipline in the market and has advised the MMC to take strict action. 

The minister has also promised to get the sewage treatment plant working soon and has asked the Member Secretary of the GSIDC to move fast with the same. Vijai has fixed 6-month time frame to complete these works.
