Vishwajit says hot-mixing of roads in pipeline
VALPOI: Since past many years all the roads in the rural villages of Sattari taluka are in a very bad condition.
Despite the villagers raising the issue of bad roads in every gram sabhas of their respective village; and despite the respective panchayats submitting memorandums to the PWD (roads section) office, at Valpoi; and despite repeated requests to the local MLAs to look in to the matter, the roads still remain in bad condition.
“Our Honda village main road and interregnal roads have developed many potholes. Riding on these roads causing us back problems; and the many fatal accidents have also occurred on these roads. Several times we complained to our panch, but he is not taking any action,” a villager Omkar Desai said.
The main road in Dhave is in a very bad condition since last ten years. “We cannot ride the vehicles on this road; we are facing many health related problems; many accidents have occurred on these roads. Many times we have raised the issue in gram sabha, but no one is taking any action,” another villager Namu Gaonkar said.

As committed to the people of Sattari and Usgao, we have already commissioned the beautification of Usgao and along with that spending close to Rs 70-80 crore on hot-mixing of roads in both Poriem and Valpoi constituency. Our chief minister has been grateful for sanctioning these following works, and we are taking this ahead on the request of my father Pratapsingh Rane,” he said.
