UTORDA: The Voice of Goa proudly honoured those sons and daughters of the soil and those who have made this home, and paved the path of enterprise and excellence.
Business icons, entrepreneurs, start-ups, visionaries and community impact leaders were awarded in a star-studded Enterprise Excellence Award Ceremony at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Utorda.
Shrinivas Dempo, the head of Dempo Group and Glenn Saldanha, Chairman and Managing Director of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals were awarded Business Icons of Goa award.
The late Vincent Ramos, the real ‘Taj’ of Hospitality Industry in Goa, late Victor Albuquerque and late Ivo Costa Azaredo (Bebe) from the Costa & Co Pvt Ltd were conferred the Visionaries Forever Award for their immense contribution to Goa and their respective sectors.
In the first category, decided through nominations and jury selections, the award for Business Excellence exhibiting excellence in business enterprise was conferred to Kilowott, digital strategy, design and development agency.
The Leadership Excellence Award for being among the leaders who are at the forefront of business enterprise in Goa was awarded Dr Sriram Natarajan, Founder Director, Molbio Diagnostics Pvt Ltd.
The Women Entrepreneur Award for the women who step up and go beyond, to be leaders of enterprise was conferred to Veeam Braganza of Frugurt - Goa’s premier dairy food brand that offers natural yoghurt, free from preservatives and stabilisers.
Wakao Foods, India’s first brand that makes ready-to-eat products from jackfruit was bestowed with the Start-Up Award for companies who are pushing the boundaries from within the State’s start-up ecosystem.
The Innovation Award for driving innovation in enterprise was given to NUMADIC, a Goa-based supply chain tracking and coordination platform for B2B transporters and consignors in India.
The Community Impact Leadership Award for creating a positive impact within the community in every way was conferred to Street Providence for being constituted solely to care and rehabilitate homeless street people, drug & alcohol addicts, poor, marginalised, & abandoned senior citizens.
