Panjim: ‘Nit Konn Ghetolo?’ a tiatr presented by Shooting Star, Tivim and written, directed by Edmer Barreto focuses on the law makers and law breakers in the society.

Roy (Saish Daujekar) is in love with Shenaya (Bliss Fernandes), who is a lawyer by profession. PI Alfino (Stanny Almeida) tries to find an excuse and arrests Roy.

For no fault of his, Roy is put behind bars and tortured by PI Alfino. However, being a lawyer, Shenaya seeks Roy’s bail.

Roy’s brother Ryan (Edmer Barreto) returns from abroad and demands his share of property from his mom Rosy (Alisha Rodrigues). After a tussle between the brothers, Ryan decides to vacate the house.

Unexpectedly, a goon steps into the house and Rosy is attacked. Roy decides to lodge a police complaint, but his mom is hesitant as the PI will be reluctant to take the complaint. Shenaya drops in and advises Roy and his mom not to lodge the complaint.

A little later, Shenaya too becomes the victim of attack. Now, everyone is on the lookout for the murderer. Whose master plan was it to first eliminate Roy’s and Ryan’s dad, who was an advocate? Who coaxed whom to commit the murder and why?

‘Nit Konn Ghetolo?’ throws light on the faltering law that prevails in the society. If law makers are law breakers themselves, then who will get justice in the society? This is the query posed at the end of the tiatr, which has a good dose of suspense.

Saish and Edmer as siblings displayed enough talent on stage and they were ably assisted by Bliss, as lawyer and Alisha Rodrigues as the mother.

Stanny Almeida and Zemario Philip play the role of the PI and constable respectively. However, many hoped the former would induce added fortification to the character, that was pivotal in the play. But the same cannot be said about Kevin, who looks comfortable as a menacing goon.

Megan Fernandes as Petroshina and Zemario as constable entertain the crowd with some natural and spontaneous laughter, though comic interludes are prolonged in some acts.

In the song category, Victoria with her solo on Mother Teresa, Anisha and Althea with a duo, Ashwin and Bliss, Zemario and Alsiha with duets and Ashwin, Anisha, Stanny and Althea with a quartet and a choral by Kevin, Zemariom Stanny and Ashwin were entertaining.

Vitorino Araujo and his team provided good music, while Mohan Khavnekar assisted with the background score. Lights were handled efficiently by Eddie Barreto, while stage sets were taken care of by Midhi Bugde and Freeda Fernandes.

All in all a tiatr worth watching!
