MARGAO: The BJP candidate Pallavi Dempo, conducted a campaign tour in the Curtorim Assembly constituency on Thursday, where she emphasised the importance of community involvement in achieving progress. 

She highlighted her efforts in revitalising several government schools that were previously closed, ensuring smooth administration and educational opportunities for the students.

 Besides Lourenco, BJP ST Morcha Vice President Anthony Barbosa, and other party members were present. During the event, the focus was on the continued development of Goa, particularly in the Curtorim area.

Addressing the gathering, it was acknowledged that often, politicians make promises during elections but fail to follow through afterwards.

She pledged to establish an office in Margao if elected, facilitating easier access for the residents of South Goa to voice their needs. 

In a corner meeting held at Eklati,  Dempo’s dedication to the development of Curtorim was reiterated by BJP’s Curtorim in-charge, Sharmad Pai Raiturkar, expressing confidence in her ability to bring positive change to the constituency.

“We need to rally behind our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and support his bid for a third term as the country’s leader. It is under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership that we have witnessed significant infrastructure development, such as the construction of good roads that have made our travels easier”, Raiturkar said.

BJP ST Morcha Vice President Anthony Barbosa, at corner meeting held at Eklati said “She vows to leverage the Centre’s schemes for Goa’s development, particularly focusing on addressing women’s issues. Dempo affirms her dedication to serving honestly and working diligently in her position.”

“We seek sustainable development, and I firmly believe that the Modi government is capable of delivering it. Let us join hands to strengthen Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for the betterment of our nation and its people, said Pallavi Dempo.

During the campaign tour in Curtorim, Dempo engaged with various communities, starting with a corner meeting at Eklati. She then visited the Shree Mahakali Ganapati Temple in Vaghule to offer prayers and had discussions at the Shri Ghogaleshwar Mandir Trust at Gogol-Curtorim and participated in corner meetings at Shripad Shree Vallabh Housing Society at Camaxete-Curtorim and Xavier’s residence after prayers at Shree Datta Temple in Kudne, concluding the tour.
