3 day Christmas party on bridge without permission

Porvorim: In what exposes the arrogance of power by MGP, its own minister Sudin Dhavalikar has told the House that there was no permission sought to host party on Khandepar Bridge on Christmas. 

MGP leader Ketan Bhatikar had organised the three daylong celebration on Khandepar bridge soon after its inauguration in December.

Ponda MLA Ravi Naik had tabled question about the party to be replied by PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar.

Dhavalikar has told the House that government is not aware of the event organised on the eve of Christmas at newly inaugurated Khandepar bridge.

He has also said the Public Works Department had not given permission to host such events.

He also said that the contractors who executive the work of the bridge has no authority to allow such events.

Dhavalikar has said that one lane of the bridge is operational for traffic.
