QUEPEM: Xeldem panchayat on Tuesday in pursuit to take strong step against the piling crowd at Tilamol junction due to unnecessary gathering at Tilamol market called an emergency meeting and sarpanch Caetano de Lima and panch members send message to Tilamol market shopkeepers to make adjustment of timing till next Monday.
Lima said 7am to 10 am is given to shopkeepers to sell milk and maintaining that can help follow protocol properly. For grocery store, vegetables and fruits shop 2pm to 7 evening pm the market will stay open. Wine wholesaler, hardware, tobacco shop, road side vegetable and fruits vendors will not be allowed till Monday.
De Lima also said that we already spoke to Quepem police about the situation, and given full authority against whomever not following the protocol,
Deputy sarpanch Maria Fernandes said this not only for Tilamol junction but whole panchayat area has to follow the protocol strictly in view of the COVID situation. “If somebody found not following this protocol then strict action will be taken against them,” said Fernandes.
She further said it is very important to understand the situation for safety of our life and family so it should come willingly from the people.
