Goa police on Wednesday said that they have apprehended a 27-year-old unemployed local youth for derogatory posts on social media against a minority community.
Two FIRs were filed against the posts at Margao and Ponda Police stations. SP Akshat Kaushal said that as per details disclosed by the family members, the accused was unemployed and undergoing ‘some form’ of treatment.
It was challenging to get details from social media companies as some of their servers are outside India, added SP. He said that the name of the accused has been withheld as some more arrests are likely in the matter.
