
In a recent incident, the Mapusa police have booked Aldona Panch Pranesh Naik and three of his associates for allegedly threatening a villager with dire consequences. The incident came to light when Swapnil Pednekar, a 23-year-old resident of Aldona, filed a complaint stating that he was forcefully taken in a car by the accused and three others. During this incident, he was threatened with dire consequences related to past issues.
Taking immediate action, the police arrested three of the panchayat member's workers, Dakshesh Kurpe, Vicky Karande, and Suraj Yadav, all aged 22 and natives of Pune, Maharashtra. However, Pranesh Naik is currently on the run and remains elusive.
The FIR registered against all the accused includes sections 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506(ii) (criminal intimidation) read with 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
The victim's family demands swift action from the authorities, urging for the immediate arrest of the absconding accused. The police are actively conducting the investigation and pursuing leads to apprehend Naik.
