A heartless raw food influencer has been convicted for the death of his newborn son, who was starved to death on a strict "sunshine diet." Maxim Lyutyi, a prominent Russian influencer, refused to allow his wife to breastfeed their child, believing that sunlight would provide enough nourishment for the young baby.

As a result, the helpless baby suffered from both pneumonia and severe malnutrition, ultimately passing away on March 8th of last year. Lyutyi has now been sentenced to eight years in a penal colony for his intentional harm to his child.

During the trial, it was revealed that Lyutyi would often take the baby away from his mother for days at a time and expose him to cold water, all in the name of "hardening" him. Even though the child was suffering, he was never taken to a doctor.

Lyutyi's wife, Oxsana Mironova, also shared her harrowing experience, describing how she was forbidden from breastfeeding and was essentially a "slave" to her husband's extreme dietary beliefs. Mironova had chosen a vegan lifestyle before meeting Lyutyi and suffered from an iron deficiency, which ultimately affected the health of her child who weighed a mere three-and-a-half pounds at birth.

During the trial, Mironova's lawyer Alexey Avanesyan highlighted the dangers of extreme diets during pregnancy and the potential harm it can cause to both the mother and the child. It is a tragic and heartbreaking story of a child who was denied basic nourishment and care, all because of his father's misguided beliefs.
