Amboli Police apprehends one; 6 lakh worth of goods seized along with the car

Amboli Police apprehend an individual from Miraj at the Amboli Check Post on late night Sunday. Goods seized amounting to a total value of Rs. 6,11,600, including the liquor and a car valued at Rs. 50,000.

The accused was arrested for the transportation of illegal Goa-made liquor, concealed within an ostensibly empty fruit crate. The accused was identified as Prakash Bajirao Markad, aged 33 and residing in Duttnagar Sangli Distt. Miraj. 

However, acting upon the tip of the reliable sources, Amboli police acted swiftly on the matter and managed to apprehend the accused. Acting upon the information Amboli police conducted an inspection and 40 boxes of illicit Goa-made liquor were found. The boxes were cleverly disguised as paper tapes. However, the police seized goods amounting to a total value of Rs. 6,11,600, including the liquor and a car valued at Rs. 50,000.

Markad has been detained in connection with this illicit activity, as the authorities continue their investigation into the matter. The swift action by the Amboli Police helps in the apprehension of the culprit.
