Multiple schools in the Delhi-NCR area, including 5 in Delhi itself, received bomb threat emails early Wednesday morning. A prompt evacuation of students and faculty members was initiated immediately. In no time, Delhi police and bomb squad began conducting their search.

Among the targeted schools were Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, DPS School in Dwarka, DAV School, Amity School in Saket, and Sanskriti School in New Delhi.

Following the threats, students were evacuated from the premises as a precautionary measure. Sanskriti School, known for its high-profile status, completely cleared its premises in response to the threat.

The Delhi Police, along with Noida Police in the case of Delhi Public School, Noida, swiftly responded to the threats. Bomb squads and dog squads were deployed to inspect the schools' premises for any potential threats.

Initially, it was reported that 8 schools had received bomb threats, but the number later rose to 12 as three additional schools reported similar threats. The origin of the threatening emails is suspected to be from outside the country, with the IP addresses possibly masked through the use of a VPN.

Search operations and investigations are currently ongoing to ensure the safety and security of the schools and their students.

In the latest update, around 60 schools in Delhi-NCR received bomb threats via mail. As per Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg, more than 60 schools had received the threat call. Meanwhile, Delhi Police's Special Cell has initiated an investigation into the bomb threats sent to several schools but nothing suspicious has been found yet, said police officials.

Authorities are conducting thorough inspections across all affected schools to ensure the safety of students and stakeholders. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South West, Rohit Meena, stated that multiple schools received bomb threat emails around 4:15 a.m., leading to swift action by the police.
