Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has declared that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to take the lead in all 20 constituencies in North Goa and 14 constituencies in South Goa. Anticipating a significant victory, Sawant highlighted the Sanvadem constituency as an area where the party expects to secure the highest margin.

Addressing the media at the BJP headquarters in Panaji, Sawant criticized the opposition Congress, accusing them of resorting to divisive tactics centered around religion and caste rather than focusing on development issues. "Instead of focusing on development, Congress played religion and caste politics all through this election," Sawant alleged.

Expressing confidence in the BJP's performance, Sawant projected a victory margin of over one lakh votes in North Goa and 60,000 votes in South Goa. He even went on to predict the dissolution of the INDIA alliance post-election, asserting that Congress had already accepted defeat.

Accompanying Sawant at the briefing was BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, who credited the high voter turnout to the relentless campaigning efforts of party ministers, MLAs, and workers.

Meanwhile, North Goa candidate Shripad Naik, contesting for the sixth time, announced that this would be his final election. Naik stated that he had conveyed his decision to party leadership, leaving the final decision in their hands.

With the Goa Lok Sabha elections now concluded with a record turnout, all eyes are on the results, eagerly awaited to see if CM Sawant's confident predictions will indeed come to fruition.
