PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral tendered his resignation on Sunday, causing a wave of disappointment among his supporters and BJP karyakartas in the Curchorem constituency. The sudden change has left Cabral's supporters in shock.
The karyakartas from Curchorem, who have been staunch supporters of Nilesh Cabral, expressed their sadness over the change. However they conveyed their unwavering support for Cabral, emphasizing that they will stand by him despite his resignation.
"We are deeply saddened by the resignation of our beloved leader, Nilesh Cabral. He has been a pillar of strength for our constituency. However, we want to assure him that our loyalty remains intact, and we will continue to support and stand by him through thick and thin," said one of the karyakartas.
Despite the disappointment, there is a glimmer of hope among the karyakartas as they welcome the news of Nilesh Cabral's return to the Curchorem constituency. "We are thrilled to know that Nilesh Cabral will be back in Curchorem. His leadership has been instrumental in the development of our region, and we eagerly anticipate his continued contributions to our community. He has also assured us to complete all the pending works in the constituency," added another Karyakarta.
It may be recalled that on Sunday, Nilesh Cabral resigned as minister and was replaced by Nuvem MLA Alexio Sequeira, who was sworn in as a cabinet minister later, the same evening. Cabral was asked to step down by the Party high command, in the interest of the party and to fulfill the commitment of cabinet berth to Sequira.
