The Colva Church is all set to celebrate the Fama de Menino Jesus on Monday, October 16, 2023, with the grand feast scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2023. Devotees can look forward to a series of mass celebrations in the church compound at various times, including 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 noon, and 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm, and 7 pm.
Novena Masses will also be held at 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, and an evening mass at 5:30 pm. The highlight of the celebration will be the High Mass at 5:30 a.m., followed by a solemn procession featuring the Miraculous statue of Menino Jesus. Rev. Fr. Simpliciano N. Fernandes, Parish Priest of Colva Church, will preside over the ceremony, which includes the blessing of the banner and the kissing of the miraculous statue of Menino Jesus.
Devotees are encouraged to maintain good order and cooperate with church authorities. Genuine Infant Jesus Cords and Holy Pictures will be available at the Confraria counter. This year, infants and children below 3 years will be allowed to be placed on the Altar during Fama Day.
