President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Amit Patkar, has criticized the BJP government, accusing them of employing deceptive tactics in what he refers to as a political "zumla." Patkar alleged that the government's approach to the ST political reservation issue is a strategic move aimed at gaining political advantage. He contends that the actions of the ruling party amount to a betrayal of the trust placed by the ST community, asserting that they are intentionally misleading and fooling the ST people.

He further added on saying that, BJP government has always tried to fool people, they have done nothing but to give fake promises. During BJP’s tenure the major issue of employment is not resolved, whereas the congress party had proposed Goa vision document 2035: which was later eradicated by BJP.

“If at all BJP wants to give ST reservation, they can do it by simply passing an accordance. There is no need to such mind games”, he added. however, most of the development was started during the tenure of congress which later completed and inaugurated by BJP government.

Taking it further Patkar said that only by building bridges and flyover state won’t be developed. He pointed out to the Prime minister Narendra Modi of not fulfilling his promise of special status to Goa. “BJP is unable to start mining for last twelve years in Goa this government only fools people”, Says GPCC President. He even questioned about staff committee selection to provide government jobs to the unemployed youth of Goa.
