The Crime Branch conducted a narcotics raid near Guirim Cross, Guirim and apprehended, Pappu Prakash, aged 30 and hailing from Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
During the raid, the team seized various illegal substances from his possession. This included 15.10 grams of a white crystalline substance suspected to be MDMA, and a parcel containing dry greenish-coloured flowering and fruiting tops, weighing 770 grams and suspected to be ganja. The total estimated value of the seized substances in the international market is approximately Rs. 2,20,000/-.
The crime branch team was led by PI Nitin Halarnkar with staff HC Irshad Watangi, PC Mableshwar Sawant, PC Saimulla Makandar, PC Sanil Dhuri, PC Sudesh Matkar and Soni Fernandes
The investigation is currently ongoing under the supervision of DySP Suraj, with PI Dattaram Raut leading the team.
